Heat, Money, New Stuff
Sometimes you can have the best day just hanging out and running errands… We’re having a heat streak (!), which meant immediately rushing around to find an AC unit today (pets). I love the heat, and running around in my gold glad sandals and a tank top. (My ‘mom shirt’ ended up being Donny’s absolute favorite, BTW.) Tomorrow I plan to lounge around the apartment pool if I can. After tomorrow I’m pretty sure the weather is supposed to go back to clouds/rain for awhile.
Today= making some purchases, dreaming about new ones… Chinchillas stuff, my new eyeglasses, a BlackBerry…
We went to K-Mart, and picked up this air conditioning unit for $99. We had to run out of there before we spent too much money in that store! We did also get a terracotta pot for the chins. We’re gonna have to get another one, as they love it. They’re a hideaway, and stay naturally cool. I still want to order some fleece accessories for their cage.
Friends and family were surprised when I decided to get pets, but they don’t seem to understand that it’s the pet persona and the mess that I disapprove of when it comes to animals. Already our animals’ cage and such is taking up a good amount of space, and I’m brainstorming ways to make the area more pet chic. Today (K-Mart!) I saw a pine dresser for around $50 that I think would be perfect next to our chinchilla cage. I keep the cage very clean (although you can’t tell by the pic below), and vacuum the area around it every single day. I plan to tuck all of their supplies into a dresser beside it - perhaps top it with a vase of flowers and keep the top shelf full of the fashion mags and skate rags that are overflowing from their stack under our bathroom sink.
(By the way, they don’t live as nearly as long (up to five years compared to up to 20), but if you like chinchillas, you should totally check out pet hedgehogs… SO cute!)
More on new stuff - Donny is bringing home my care package from Pure Bliss Essentials today. I built her website, and I’m also going to review her products. I’m getting shampoo, conditioner, shower scrub, and some other samples.
I lost a contact lens today, which is utterly annoying. I’m waiting for a call saying my new eyeglasses are ready to pick up, so hoping they are ready tomorrow. I got an exam at America’s Best and ordered two pairs of frames - a slim red pair and some full on thick black nerd glasses.
I should be getting a new phone soon, and I’m looking at BlackBerrys. Everyone on my Twit seems to use one and I guess I caught the bug. It’s time to either switch/continue my & the boyfriend’s phone plan, and I’m considering a BlackBerry Curve 8310.
I dig the QWERTY keyboard, large screen and ruby red color. All of my phones are always simple Nokias, and I want something more high-tech and pretty while I can get a discount when renewing or starting a new contract.
I don’t know if I want to get hardcore about looking for a part-time job around here, or just hustle a hundred times harder at my online business. The boyfriend just got promoted at work, which is a relief because we’ll have more money (If I call things “his” he gets pissy and corrects me that they’re “ours”. Cute, right?), but also pressure to be more successful on my own. I know I need money. … I took some ads off of this site because they were taking up space but not making me cash. Any online $$ tips are appreciated!

Ooh i love buying new Chin stuff, I can’t afford anything cool for her right now though. As chic as I can get is all of her plastic accesories are pink.
I can’t wait for us to get our first warm streak, I already have my ac out and my skirts ready. I actually have more skirts than jeans/pants.

I’m loving the heat over here on the west coast!
If you’re w/ Adsense I would recommend only sticking ads on your high-traffic posts to bring in ad clicks. That’s what I do. Also, blending in Adsense ads to make them look like navigation links (horizontal or vertical) works extremely well. That’s what I do as well and it works!

ahw it’s sweet that your bf tells you everything of his is yours. i also think it’s cool that he tells you to go out and do something yourself! it’s important to get kicked in the ass like that sometimes…

It’s hot here also, even now at 5am it feels like a freakin’ sona (probably spelled that wrong) outside!
That’s funny, I always call a lot of James and my stuff mine, basically I think I do it because of what I do for work.
I use adsense but I don’t get a lot of clicks. I see how it could work though with people who get a lot of traffic because I’ve only had like 14 clicks and I have like $2 and something.

Aww the Chins look adorable! Maybe a dumb question but what do you use the Terracotta pots for? Do they hide in them? Or did I read that wrong and they’re not for the chins at all?
One of my friends has the Blackberry Curve and she absolutely loves it. The QWERTY keyboard is a great feature as it always annoys me that some places put ACBD keyboards.

A $99 AC unit?! OMG, cheap! I’m scoping for a split-type unit for my room (mom wants it, even though I tell her it’s not needed as I am moving out SOON) and the brand my friend recommended costs $500.
The chin cage looks really big/doesn’t look 3 feet tall at all. It’s so spacious and it’s so cute how they’re always on the top shelf. Teehee. Are they, like, friends? =) Cos my Peachy cat doesn’t have someone constant to play with except me.
My boyfriend also considers some amounts of his money as mine, lol. Like, a friend of ours had him buy an action figure and boyfriend’s like “Oh just give Helga the money” to him, and “me = you” to me. Love ♥

Yay new phone!
Once I made money by buying the Gap design edition white shirts (they were on the cover of Vogue last year, but there is a new batch out again this year) and sold a bunch to girls in the UK via ebay. It was kind of a hassle though.
